British Actress Helen Koya currently can be played as Patience Gibbs in the latest Assassin’s Creed instalment (Assassin’s Creed IV ‘Black Flag’) and she can currently be seen in the new Ronald D. Moore creation ‘Helix’ currently showing on the SyFy channel.

Originally from London, England. Having spent 4 years living and working as an actress in Montreal, Canada she made the exciting leap to New York City, where she currently resides.

Her formal training began at the prestigious ‘The Brit School of Performing Arts‘ in London. Following these very prominent 2 years, in what was only her first year of auditioning for drama school, at the tender age of 18 she was accepted and was offered a full Scholarship at the famous drama school ‘Italia Conti Academy‘ in what would be a very intense but yet rewarding 3 years vocational training in Acting, based strongly on the Meisner Technique. It was during these years that she built the solid acting foundation on which she currently works on.

After drama school, she worked mainly in Theatre, commercials, TV pilots, and short films. When the opportunity came to move to Canada, being the adventurous, fearless, courageous, optimistic person Helen is, she jumped at them.

Many of her projects have gone on to receive accolades in some of the world’s most famous film festivals, most recently at TIFF.

In between her acting roles Helen does fitness modeling and voice over work.

Fitness has also played a major part in Helen’s life. She will be participating in her first Bodybuilding and Powerlifting competition in the Fall of 2013. She is currently training for her first National Powerlifting competition at the beginning of 2014 in New York.
